THE NEXT STEPS

The 3 selected concepts were chosen to be 3D printed and shown in an exhibition room built for CCL (Consumer Creative Launch).

Afterwards, I was asked to interpret an AI image of an AirMax 95/97 upper into 3D.

THE NEXT STEPS

I was asked to 3D print out several uppers of the AirMax I created and to paint one of them to be black and glossy for the exhibition room.

Afterwards, I was asked to design a swoosh using the same design language as one of my concept explorations so that it could be put on an LD1000 shoe for the exhibition room.

THE FINAL STEP

3D Printing Process

For this project I learned how to submit full color prints with translucency using the Objet printers on campus, and also learned how to use and operate a resin printer for the first time to print out an AirMax upper.

In order to achieve the black glossy finish that was requested on the AirMax upper, I spraypainted and clear coated one of the prints myself.

Overall, this was a project that I thoroughly enjoyed!
