HEELSTRYKE v.0
A skill-building project focused on shoemaking techniques and building a fully functional footwear prototype. A maximalist sport sandal/slide made for adventuring, and tackling the heat.
MOCK-UPS
2 mock-ups were made to explore proportions, construction method, fit, and comfort. The first mock-up made focused solely on the construction method, while the second mock-up focused more on solving the problems, how it fit around the foot, and how comfortable it was to wear.
PROTOTYPE
After learning from the 2 mock-ups, a final prototype was made focusing on using high quality materials and perfecting proportions to ensure proper fit and comfort. The prototype was also built for complete functionality and durability in order to handle extensive testing on asphalt, gravel, and grass.
